Marilena was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She read law at the University of Surrey, England, and was awarded an LLB Honours Degree in 2016. She then completed the Master of Laws in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton.
She joined M&M in 2017 as a trainee advocate and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2018.
Her main areas of practice are shipping, corporate & commercial and ship finance work.
Marilena acts for international shipping and banking clients in transactions relating to finance and other forms of non-contentious work in maritime and company law, as well as for charterers and ship-managers in non-contentious aspects of shipping, including ship & yacht sale, purchase and registration.
She has been involved also in commercial matters, including corporate restructurings and corporate finance transactions.
